The Cross Church

“Disciples of Christ Church”​



The first church services were conducted in the Gingrich Schoolhouse. After the "Cross School" was constructed, church services were held there.

As time passed, Thomas felt the need for a more appropriate place to worship. The men of the community, in a short period of time, erected a new structure. The church was built on the south-west corner of State Road and M-66. Thomas furnished the money needed to complete the building. He took out a mortgage for the money, which was soon repaid, mainly by the various fund-raising projects, by the ladies of the church and community,
